The Pit Stop Academy is a sixth month course that will provide you with all of the skills you need to make your motorsport journalism career a total success.
Our tutors are seasoned veterans, award-winning and employed by some of the top motorsport media outlets in the business.
This course isn't just about learning how to write a compelling race report though. It goes much deeper, enabling you to hone your features and opinion writing, enabling you to improve your interview techniques in the paddock, and also learning the art of video editing and podcasting, two vital areas in the current motorsport media climate.

Frequently asked questions
What time investment do I need to make?
Each of the online virtual lessons will take place on a fortnightly basis, usually in the evening. So to get the most out of the course, you will need to attend each of these sessions. You will however be able to go back over the contents of that course if you're unable to make a particular session.
When does the course start?
The next course will begin in the last week of June 2024.
Is there 1-2-1 learning?
While our fortnightly sessions are conducted in groups, there will also be additional 1-2-1 feedback sessions throughout the course, enabling you to get direct feedback on your progress and to discuss specific areas of improvements.
Will I be attending race tracks?
While sessions are conducted virtually online, there will be opportunities to work in a paddock environment to further enhance your skills and enabling you to experience what it is actually like working on the ground. We will also have opportunities for you to be involved in virtual newsdesk environments which could also mean dealing with journalists who are at a race track, meaning you will get the full experience of what it's like to work in the motorsport media industry.
